Safety Information
nine to twelve months
In addition to the concerns raised with the 6-9 month information, now
exercise special care with MEDICATIONS
-
Keep them in a closed, preferably, locked space. Never carry any in a purse
as kids love looking in there for treats. Watch grandmother's purse when she
visits-- they are often full of medications, potentially dangerous to the baby.
-
Never store poisonous substances in empty jars or soda bottles or anything else
resembling a safe household product
Plus...
-
Be especially careful with sharp objects such as knives and scissors
-
Lower the crib mattress
-
Get down on the floor-a baby's eye view-and see what's interesting, then
move it
-
Empty buckets or small pools immediately after use
-
Ensure that swimming pools have a four-sided fence with a self-closing,
self-latching gate
-
Do not leave heavy objects or containers of hot liquids on tables with
tablecloths that the baby may pull down
-
Keep pet food and dishes out of reach
