Motrin (ibuprofen) for Children

Ibuprofen is used for pain and fever relief.  It can be given via oral drops, suspension, or chewable tablets.  

I realize that the new boxes have a slightly different dosing chart.  This one is still OK.

Oral Drops: 50 mg/1.25 mL  Dose:  dropperful
If there is a discrepency between the dosage for your child's age and your child's weight,
use the dose appropriate for your child's weight.

12-17 5.5-7.9 6-11 months 1/2 dropper
18-23 8.0-10.9 12-23 months 1 dropper

Suspension: 100 mg/5ml Dose: Teaspoon
